Best Teacher Blogs
After doing some research, I finally found my four favorite teacher blogs with great information on organization, activities, structure, and classroom set up. A big thing for me was to make sure they were well organized and easy to navigate. These are websites I can carry with me as my career as an Early Educator takes off!

This website helps to describe how to organize your classroom in the most efficient and beneficial way for both the teacher and the students. Her entire classroom supports a learning environment. Everything has a home and everything is completely organized and labeled. The areas that are designed for the students are at eye level for them to reach and see. My favorite section of her classroom was the library. It was sectioned off with comfy bench and pillows chairs for the children to sit in and relax. She had all of her books in bins labeled by categories for the children to see. There was an easel that sectioned off an area for a nice reading nook that was also decorated with plenty of pillows for comfort. All of her areas are open enough that she can see from any area of the classroom.

This website is extremely helpful with sight word, name spelling, and letter help. One of the activities i found that would be extremely helpful is the clothes pin name craft. The students get clothes pins with each letter of their name on one and a popsicle stick with their name on it. It is their job to match their clothes pin letters to the right letter on the popsicle stick. Not only does this help with spelling their name, it also helps with fine motor skills. Pinching the clothes pins open is not always an easy task for children. Therefore, they are doing two activities in one without even knowing. Eventually, the children will be able to spell their name without the help of the popsicle stick.

This website was simple to use but had a lot of great teacher information and resources. There was ways for teachers to communicate with each other. There was a lot of different activities and resources to use in the classroom. My favorite part of the website was the "file cabinet". There are different categories to choose from. There is a file for literacy, math, science, management, social studies, and many more. Each file has sub-folders. The sub-folders come with different assignments and activities for the teacher to give the students. There was so much great information throughout the website.

This website was helpful on giving ideas for independent learning activities. She had a box for each day of the week, monday through friday. Each box was filled with something different that could be used during quiet time, hence why she called them "quiet box". They were also good for independent quiet time for each student. The boxes were all filled with different things, some had books while others had puzzles. I think this is great idea! It keeps the children relaxed and engaged. It is great to have things planned out ahead of time and to always have something ready for when children become antsy and cannot sit still, especially during quiet time.

This website was one of my favorites! It was just the right amount of color and was easy to navigate! Everything was labeled clearly, making it easy to find. There are so many wonderful articles on activities and lessons for certain topics. My favorite article to read was "How to get Control of Chaos and Clutter". This article was very informative and helpful on how to organize your classroom. Her big tip was one project at a time and start small. You do not want to overwhelm yourself and not finish anything. I found the whole website completely helpful and useful.
